About
One page per model, not per listing
Redgard is a reference for collectible watches and classic cars: one page per model, and a record of what examples of it actually fetch.
How it is put together
Most sites are organised around individual listings, which disappear when they close. We are organised around the object. A single page covers one reference — one Speedmaster 145.022, one 911 (993) Carrera — and every example that passes through adds to that page rather than replacing it. Pages get more useful over time instead of going stale.
Where the figures come from
We record the last figure shown against a listing before it closed. That is not a confirmed transaction price — a late move in the closing minutes can be invisible to us — so we label it as what it is: last seen at. We never present it as a completed sale. Listings that close without attracting interest are recorded too: a model that repeatedly fails to find a buyer is a real signal, and almost nobody publishes it.
How we are paid
Redgard takes part in partner programmes. If you follow a link from a page here to a marketplace and go on to register or buy, we may receive a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it has no bearing on which models we cover or which figures we record. A link that earns us nothing is shown exactly like one that does.
